Throughout their training, the juniors will be working on all components of the full swing and short game, on course training and mental preperation for scoring.

Welcome to the John E. S. Cochrane Golf Schools Junior after school Winter Program at River Hills Country Club. Our goal is to provide a fun and effective learning environment encouraging each student to develop his or her golf skills to their highest potential. Throughout their 5 lessons, the students will be working on all components of the game of golf. The program will include full swing, short game, drills, performance development games and prize competitions.

This is designed for juniors who have previously attended our New to the Game camp or have received basic instruction on golf from other teaching professionals and schools. Each day (first two hours) our experienced and qualified teaching professionals will conduct video analysis of each student’s swing and work with them on those specific areas needing attention. The last two hours the juniors play on the golf course concentrating on their management of the game; mental drills, rules, and decision making.

Golf Schools is proud to serve the Brandon/Valrico communities with a wide selection of professional golf lessons which are age appropriate for young kids and juniors. Additionally, you will find Jr classes designed to be more challenging for the beginner or experienced teenager. What a great way for junior to learn the basics of a great family sport and a game for of a lifetime. Each day with our experienced and qualified Teaching Professionals will teach the juniors the solid fundamentals of the Full swing consisting of the set up position, finish position, backswing, impact position drills, and performance development games. The Short Game consisting of putting, chipping, pitching, bunker shots and all the different green side shots. Basic rules, courtesy and etiquette, and sportsmanship. There are lots of games and prizes to be won. From here the next step is level 2: Advanced Classes

Advanced Camp - Half Day Classes: Level 2

The Camp is designed for juniors who are at the Advanced Level or have previously attended our Full Swing Camp and Short Game Camp. Each day with our experienced and qualified Teaching Professionals will consist of video analysis of each student’s swing and then off to the tee line for ball striking (Day 1 and Day 3). Days 2 and 4 will consist of short game and on course training. Day 5 is Championship Day. They will also learn rules, courtesy, etiquette, and sportsmanship. Elite Camp - Full Day Classes: Level 3

Are you ready for the Tour! The intense, fun-filled full day camp is designed for juniors who are at the advanced level. Each day with our experienced and qualified Teaching Professionals will consist of advanced technique in full swing, short game, on course development, mental training, scoring and video analysis. Students will also learn the advanced rules, courtesy, etiquette, and sportsmanship. This camp will prepare students for competition. It is important for the juniors to learn these areas of the game as it will help them progress at a faster rate. When the juniors finish the camp, they will be at the next level and will feel comfortable playing golf with all ages including adults. There are lots of games and prizes to be won. These classes will take place at River Hills Golf and Country Club. The next step Level 5: Private lessons

Christmas Break Golf Camps – All levels

Each day our experienced and qualified teaching professionals will instruct juniors the solid fundamentals of the full golf swing. They will learn how to correctly hold a golf club, how to correctly set up to the ball, how the ball is struck, and how to correct themselves. The short game lessons consist of putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker shots.
